Monolith to containers

The brief

A national retailer wanted off an ageing monolith, but couldn’t risk a big-bang cutover on a platform that takes orders every second.

What we did

We planned a staged move to containers on Kubernetes: what to carve off first, in what order, and how to keep the lights on throughout. We mapped the risks honestly and set the team up to run it after we left.

The outcome

A migration roadmap the business could execute at its own pace, and an internal team confident enough to own it.
